During the 2nd semester of the Sophmore year of my time in Tamkang, I was not focused on my studies and did not try to the best of my abilities in school. I failed to complete assignments, failed to show up to class, and failed to maintain an academic standard required by the school while dealing with personal issues. However, I hope to improve my study habits and raise my scores to a level I can be proud of and will continue to strive for that goal.In the future. With the help of my professors and fellow classmates, I will do my best to maintain my studies and my average score throughout the rest of time at Tamkang University and professional life. I think the scholarship provides an incentive for slacking students to improve their studies in return for a small financial benefit, which can lead to drastic long-term improvements and the maintenance of that development. I thank the university, my teachers, my classmates and most importantly the department secretary Sonia for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to advance my personal ability. Aside from outside help I now understand that I need to also help myself by studying harder without distraction and to persevere through any attempts to fall asleep. Thank you.
