以前的教學模式，往往是以老師為中心，老師說什麼，學生就做什麼，老師寫什麼，學生就記什麼，這樣單向的知識傳遞，漸漸的被現代教育觀點所拋棄，現在的教育觀點認為，這樣的教學模式，沒有效率，無法調動學生的積極性，課堂非常沈悶，失去了教學原本的意義，所以在教學中需要以學生為本。 「以學生為本」的教育觀念，主張以學生為課堂的中心。提倡教育者，從教育內部去考察教育的本質，去揭示教育的特點與規律，肯定教育就是發現學生的價值，發揮學生的潛能，發展學生個性。 「育人」是教育的根本價值和目的，培養「自覺的，自動的，發展的，創造的，社會的」現代中國人，「使學生能做人，能做事，成為健全的公民」是我們教育者所要達到目標。
