My name is Caio and I am from Brazil. My parents live in Brazil, but my mother is also a Taiwanese citizen and my father has had business with Taiwanese companies since 2010. Thus, I keep a close connection with Taiwan. I have graduated from High School in 2017 and, before deciding to come to study in Taiwan, I was in the 2nd year of my Electronics Engineering bachelor course in Brazil. Although I liked the course and that area of technology, I'm aware of how competitive today's market is and how important it is to seek the best possible education and, for a Brazilian, that usually means pursuing that education overseas. When I learned about the possibility of studying in Taiwan, I could not pass on the opportunity of joining one of the world's best education systems, improve my language skills, experience life as an international student, and embracing that part of my roots, as my grandfather is Taiwanese and I have many relatives in Taiwan. So, I moved to Taiwan in early 2020 to earn my BE degree, and I was particularly interested in Tamkang's Software Engineering bachelor course because it fits well my profile. My favorite sport is football which I play since I was very young. I have always played in school, amateur teams, and competitions. I'm an easy-going kind of person, always interested in developing friendly and trusting relationships.
